The Arkansas Medical Society's political action committee is non-partisan, and the board is made up of physicians from all over Arkansas who are committed to utilizing your membership contribution effectively to help physician-friendly candidates win so they can advocate for stronger, more physician-friendly policies. 

Contributions to ARKMED-PAC are not deductible as charitable contributions or business expenses for federal income tax purposes. Each contribution will be distributed to assist pro-medicine candidates in both federal elections and state elections in a predetermined percentage as allowed by federal and state laws. Contributions are not limited to the suggested amounts. AMS will neither favor nor disadvantage anyone based on the amounts or failure to make contributions. Contributions to ARKMED-PAC are subject to both Arkansas and Federal Election Commission rules and regulations. An INCOME TAX CREDIT will be allowed, not to exceed $50 on an individual STATE TAX RETURN or not to exceed $100 on a joint STATE TAX RETURN for contributions made to a candidate seeking nomination or election to a public office, to a small donor action committee, an APPROVED POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE, or an organized political party.
